The Role
The Technology
and Strategy Analyst will report to the HCN Technical Lead and
the
Head of Strategy & Commercial to support the delivery of the Phase 1 objectives listed above.
This role will involve developing an understanding of the liquid hydrogen aerospace sector landscape to create thought leadership publications and develop the HCN’s strategy. This will involve significant external engagement interfacing with a wide range of organisations including research organisations, product developers, and regulators/ governments. The role will involve undertaking strategic research and analysing information from a variety of different sources. This is a key role to ensure the HCN is strongly positioned externally as leaders in the field.
This will be
carried out through the following objectives:
· Developing awareness of the key organisations and advances in
field of liquid hydrogen aerospace. Understanding the international landscape,
covering commercial and governmental strategy alongside technological
developments across both academia and industry.

Shaping
the external comms around technology and
strategy based the key findings from the HCN’s mapping and research activities,
to position the HCN as thought leaders in this area.
Responsibilities
will include:
·
Reviewing
the current LH2 aviation landscape and staying at the cutting edge in the areas
below through literature reviews, attendance at events and communicating with
the network.
o Commercial strategy & industrial activity.
o Governmental policy.
o Academic literature.
·
Keeping
up to date with relevant events internationally.
·
Drafting thought leadership
publications across both short form blog posts and long form reports aimed a variety of
audiences.
·
Creating
and maintaining a database of key research groups, companies, and events
relevant to the HCN’s objectives.
·
Overseeing
development of content for HCN’s website, external portal, publications, and
reports.
· Using knowledge acquired to steer other HCN activities.
· Supporting the technical lead with representation in Global
cryogenics including; International engagement across research, international
visits, conferences.
